摘要： 本文重新审视以往奥登研究中的主题和聚焦点，捻出两个具有涵盖性的核心议题，由此将西方近80 年的奥登研究分为两大阶段：第一阶段围绕着关于奥登其人其诗的争议展开；第二阶段以奥登研究的多元化为中心。如此划分有助于更好地厘清奥登研究的发展脉络并指明奥登研究的前进方向，以期让欲从事奥登研究者迅速而准确地把握西方奥登研究的主脉。

Abstract: By re-examining the themes and focuses in Auden studies in the West, which span nearly 80 years, this article summarizes two embracing major topics and thus divides Auden studies into two phases. The first phases centers on the controversies surrounding the poet and his poems and the second on the multifariousness of Auden studies. Such a division clarifies the major stages in the development of Auden studies and points toward their possible directions in the future. This article aims to help prospective Auden scholars grasp the main vein of Auden studies in the West.
