Song Rui / Shen Xiangyou
Journal of Beijing International Studies Universit, 2014, 36(1): 1-.
Abstract( )   [HTML]()   PDF(4168KB)( )
Based on a national survey consisting of 1593 respondents selected by random sampling, this article analyzes the main factors which constrain Chinese’ participation on leisure. The results show that Chinese are confronted with constraints of seven categories, in different content for different groups. It should be noticed that the constraints such as environment, attitudes of others, as well as family members’ supports are beyond the western leisure research. Consequently, researches on Chinese leisure are important complement to the global leisure research which is still dominated by western prospects.

Journal of Beijing International Studies Universit, 2014, 36(1): 16-.
Abstract( )   [HTML]()   PDF(3369KB)( )
This paper establishes a dynamic panel data model and uses sys-GMM estimation method to estimate the effect of macroeconomic fluctuations on China’s domestic tourism based on the data of 30 provinces in China from 1997 to 2011. With the rate of GDP as the critical volatility factors, inflation、unemployment and rural-urban income gap as the controlling volatility factors, the empirical results show that: (1)development of domestic tourism has a dynamic continuity, the current period mechanism of evolution effected by the change of the first lagged period. (2)macroeconomic fluctuation on the domestic tourism development has a steady significant positive effect. (3) the inflation rate in the macroeconomic impact of tourism development on the domestic mechanisms plays a dynamic role in promoting. (4)the first lagged period of the unemployment rate showed steady significant negative effect on domestic tourism development, and the unemployment rate in the macroeconomic impact of tourism development on the domestic mechanisms plays a dynamic role in absorption. (5)The rural-urban income gap showed significant negative effect on domestic tourism development.

Li Ruyou / Huang Changzhou
Journal of Beijing International Studies Universit, 2014, 36(1): 24-.
Abstract( )   [HTML]()   PDF(4468KB)( )
Regional difference of tourism economy from 2000 to 2011 in Jiangsu Province is researched by spatial concentration index, Theil index, Gini index and Herfindahl index, and then Shift-Share Method is used to dissect the tourism economic growth of 13 cities in Jiangsu from 2000 to 2005 and 2005 to 2011. Based on these, the spatial pattern of regional development advantages on tourism economic in Jiangsu Province can be presented. The result shows that the regional difference of tourism economy in Jiangsu Province is extremely significant, and its trend is in line with the course of inverted U-shaped curve, which aggravates from 2000 to 2005 and reduces from 2005 to 2011. Further analysis shows that the spatial pattern of regional disparity of tourism economy in Jiangsu Province has changed greatly and goes with solid foundational advantages in southern areas, with relatively strong capacity to develop in the middle and northern areas. In addition, the regional difference of tourism economy in Jiangsu Province has positive connections with the tourism resource, economic development, industrial structure, but there is no significant correlation between tourism economy and infrastructure construction or opening up.

Hu Linlin / Jia Junsong
Journal of Beijing International Studies Universit, 2014, 36(1): 34-.
Abstract( )   [HTML]()   PDF(2106KB)( )
It is important to acquire the accurate prediction of carbon emissions from tourism sector, because it can help us identify the future direction of low-carbon development strategy for this industry. Taking Jiangxi Province as an example, using the exponential smoothing model(ES), the auto regressive integrated moving average model(ARIMA)and the combined ESARIMA model suggested in this article, we complete fit and predict the carbon emissions from the tourism sector(Lyt)based on its historical data during the 1999~2011 years. The results show that: ①the predicted results from the ESARIMA model is more reasonable and reliable, because it has the higher accuracy and its change trend is closer to the reality and people’s cognitive habit. ② the Lyt may have a transitory decrease in the 2012 in Jiangxi, because the country’s expectation of GDP growth has a corresponding decline in this year. However, this declining trend will be reversed quickly. The Lyt will grow again from 2013, and it will grow to 5.635 MT in 2018 in Jiangxi. The average annual growth rate of the seven years’ predication is up to 8.34%. Therefore, the regional related scientific research, technology promotion and application, etc. should be actively strengthened, in order to improve the energy efficiency of tourism industry and reduce its carbon emissions.

Journal of Beijing International Studies Universit, 2014, 36(1): 47-.
Abstract( )   [HTML]()   PDF(4827KB)( )
The tourist hotel industry is an important pillar of the tourism industry system, and the importance of tourism hotel efficiency has been observed, while little study on it has been seen domesticly. Based on the concept of tourism hotel industry efficiency and analysis of efficiency structure and the explanation variable, this article builds the conceptual framework of the study on tourism hotel industry efficiency by exploring the efficiency changes of enterprises of four ownership types (State-owned, Joint ventures, private enterprises, and foreign-invest enterprises) in Sanya. Results show that capital investment scale, technology imitation and innovation as well as competition environment are significant driving force for improving tourism hotel efficiency. Moreover, there are different competitive advantages for enterprises with different ownerships, because the diversity of policy incentives, original capital and human capital and other characteristics of enterprises lead to great disparity of enterprises’ market position, technological innovation ability and model. However, the most effective way to improve efficiency is the optimum combination of these powers. In Sanya, capital circulation and agglomeration, continuous investment, technology imitation and diffusion caused by enterprises’ agglomeration strengthen the market competition. The efficiency of state-owned and foreign enterprises is reducing while that of joint ventures and private enterprises is improving, and all kinds of efficiency index tend to be balanced. Enterprises with different ownership types have their own obstacles in improving efficiency, so the local government should make some effective policies to solve the matter.

Journal of Beijing International Studies Universit, 2014, 36(1): 63-.
Abstract( )   [HTML]()   PDF(2649KB)( )
Based on the improvement of current international major customer satisfaction index model, and taking the characteristics of tourist attraction and tourism public service as an example, this paper puts forward a model of tourism public service tourist satisfaction index model in tourist attractions and then conducts an empirical study. The model has casual connections and is made up of 7 latent variables and 26 observed variables, which has positive and negative connections. This paper takes Mount Huang as an example, using AMOS7.0 to analyze, and shows that the latent variables have causal connections. Based on the outcomes, the paper offers some suggestion and come to the final conclusions.

Abstract( )   [HTML]()   PDF(3459KB)( )
The purpose of this paper is to research the impact of promotional videos, online-reviews and travel notes on destination image change. With the aid of experimental method, both quantitative and qualitative research methods are used. The results show that: the three medium change the destination image significantly. There is no significant difference on cognitive image, but there are significant differences on emotional image and travel intention. Positive on-line reviews and travel notes help to produce positive emotional image and travel intention. Doing qualitative analysis on interview data, we know that communication mode, communication content, credibility of sources and personal factors affect the extent of destination image change.
