Abstract: Folk language, as the carrier of local literature, has drawn translators’ attention to its translation. The model of the translation by sinologists is usually considered to be one of the successful ways for the dissemination of the Chinese culture to go global, Goldblatt’s and Jullia Lovell’s translations of Chinese contemporary literature being the case. The research on their different strategies and motives will be helpful for the study of the translation model and the like. This article, choosing folk languages in Goldblatt’s The Republic of Wine and Jullia Lovell’s The Real Story of Ah-Q and Other Tales of China as the subjects, analyzes Goldblatt’s and Jullia Lovell’s translation strategies and motives for their behaviors. In a word, being a scholarly translator, one can display the most profound in a culture.

摘要： 汉语“乡土语言”作为中国乡土文学作品的载体，其英译问题逐渐受到译学界的关注，而汉学家英译是译学界普遍看好的、理想的译者模式，通常被认为是一条成功的实践路径，其对中国文化的对外传播功不可没。就中国乡土文学作品中汉语“乡土语言”的英译而言，汉学家葛浩文和汉学家蓝诗玲的英译实践，是汉学家中比较突出的两位，对其乡土语言英译策略及其动因的研究，将对中国文化“走出去”的译者模式等提供有益的启示。本文通过对葛浩文英译莫言《酒国》和蓝诗玲英译鲁迅《鲁迅小说全集》中的乡土语言事实的分析，深刻剖析了不同的译者行为背后的动因。对于译者而言，实现译者学者化，才能传递文化的最强音。
