Evaluation and Analysis of Content Delivery Performance of Tourism E-commerce sites

As the platforms for tourists to search travel information, book tourism products and share travel experience, tourism e-commerce sites play an important role in the development of global tourism. Its appeal to users depends on the contents it deliveries. The paper set up the evaluation indexes system firstly, and then combined with questionnaire survey among the main user groups to get user expectations. After that, the paper conducted evaluations for 5 popular tourism e-commerce sites in China. Then the matrix of expectation-content delivery was built to help improve the constructions of tourism e-commerce sites.
Study on the Influencing Factors of Chinese Rural Residents’ Tourism Consumption Demand Vicissitudes

This paper analyses the factors which influence Chinese rural residents’ tourism consumption demand vicissitudes mainly from the following aspects: the income and consumption level of rural residents, the level of rural and national economic development, the change of rural residents’ fixed assets, the government expenditure for agriculture, urbanization and rural population changes. The result shows that:(1) Compared with other factors, the influence of net income of rural residents on the marginal propensity to their tourism consumption is weak; (2)Tourist trips from rural residents and urban residents gradually converge, but the level of urban and rural tourism consumption is obviously different;(3)Income structure of rural residents has an impact on their tourism spending, while living consumption expenditure has a positive but limited effect on it;(4)Rural residents tourism spending is highly and positively related with the level of rural social and national economy; (5)The influence of rural residents of fixed assets investment and housing value changing on the tourism consumption is different;(6)The impact of urbanization rate on rural residents tourism consumption is positive, while rural population changes on it is negative.
First Exploration on the Underprivileged Tourism

The phenomenon of underprivileged tourism has existed for a long time since the ancient time. The new word “underprivileged tourism” is the best evidence and explanation of the coming of mass tourism era. The concept of underprivileged tourism has been proposed, and the potential of underprivileged tourism market is tremendous. Tourism product design should be made well in order to meet the demand of the market. Moreover, tourists should purchase the tourism products flexibly, tourism enterprises should innovate their tourism product and profit pattern, and the government should guide their rational consumption.
Research Progress on Poverty Reduction through Tourism in Ethnic Areas

In China,due to a high degree overlapping of ethnic areas,poverty-stricken areas and areas with rich tourism resources,tourism development has been the means of poverty reduction in the ethnic areas,which is paid attention to by tourism experts,This paper reviews academic literature about the researches on poverty reduction through tourism(PRT)in ethnic areas.Results indicate that the research of PRT began in the end of 1980s and it has undergone three phases,namely the beginning stage,preliminary development stage and fast development stag e,but still being in the initial stage of research.The research focuses on the meaning of PRT and its supporting theories;feasibility analysis and the development strategies of PRT in specific ethnic areas;the effects,the patterns,the problems and the countermeasures of PRT in ethnic areas.Most researches are based mainly on qualitative description.The research regions are mainly concentrated in Yunnan,Guangxi,Guizhou,Sichuan,and Gansu provinces where there are a large number of poverty populations and rich tourism resources.In the further,researches should be expanded and deepened,such as the pathways of gaining benefits and development opportunities of the poor,the construction of local industrial chains, especially,the integration into cultural industry,and the studies of income distribution and property right of ethnic cultural tourism resources.
A Study on Tourism Product Planning Method Based on the Realization of Tourist’s Value Pursuit of Existentialism Authenticity

The article points out that the tourist’s essential pursuit of value is to realize their existentialism authenticity, the achievement of which has a direct relationship with tourists’ imaginary objective authenticity before their travel, the actual objective authenticity that tourists apperceive between their travel in the destination, and the process of the authenticity construction between subject and object. On that basis, the model of the tourist’ s realization of existentialism authenticity and its influencing factors is constructed, and with four key steps of which, including tourists’ objective authenticity imaginary, contact of the objective authenticity, the authenticity construction and the realization of existentialism authenticity. In the end, a method system of tourism product planning is concluded.

Service interaction as the emerging field of service management is the extension and development of service contact theory. Based on the relevant literature abroad, the article expounds the research origin of service interaction. What’s more, it makes an analysis on service interaction structure, and refines different types of service interaction mode and service interaction subject. In addition, the article also explores the factors influencing the quality of service interaction further. Finally, the prospect of research is put forward.
Study on the Structural Evolution of Tourism Economic Network and Roles of Tourism Destinations in Hunan Province

This paper assesses the value of tourism economic contacts among cities in Hunan province by the gravity model,using social network analysis method to construct the tourism economic contacts network. It firstly classifies, compares and positions the roles and functions of destinations by the density analysis and core-edge model from the theory of Social Network Analysis. Then it analyzes those functions by the centralization analysis indicators quantitatively. It is suggested that fourteen city destinations in Hunan could be divided into five role types, namely, core tourist destination, secondary tourist core, important tourist destination ,common destination and marginal destination. Finally, some suggestions to optimize the tourism economic network of cities in Hunan province are put forward.
Research on the Measurement of Tourism Performance from the Perspective of Fairness

This article explains the connotation of tourism performance from the perspective of fairness and establishes the tourism performance measure system including the economic, social, ecological and environmental aspects. The article evaluates Hangzhou’s tourism performance from 2006 to 2011 with the method of PCA(principal component analysis). The results from the perspective of fairness show that the tourism performance should reflect an intensive growth in the economic aspect, meet the need of people in the social aspect, and focus on the coordinated development between man and the natural environment in the ecological and environmental aspect. The results of empirical analysis show that there is a steady increase in Hangzhou’s tourism performance from -3.746 to -4.7071.
A Research of Ownership Concentration’s Effect on Operating Performance of Chinese Tourism Listed Companies

The ownership concentration is a major issue of corporate governance, a reasonable allocation of equity is one of the important factors that affect operating performance of listed companies. Based on the public data of listed Chinese tourism companies from 2004-2012, using dummy variables and Herfindahl index, this paper builds a linear function to analyze ownership concentration’s effect on operating performance of listed Chinese tourism companies. The results show:(1)the ownership concentration of Chinese Tourism Listed Companies and the operating performance showed a significant positive correlation.(2)The ownership concentration’s effect on operating performance among the three types of listed Chinese tourism companies has a significant differentiation.(3)The effect of the ownership concentration on hotel performance is higher than the general companies and scenic spot companies . Therefore, Chinese tourism listed companies should take a different equity allocation system toachieve optimal business performance .

Based on the large-scale survey of domestic visitors to Qingdao and Dalian, by means of Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA), this paper analyzed the influencing factors of tourism destination competitiveness in order to put forward some suggestions for the two destinations to improve their competitiveness level. The analysis showed that there were significant differences for influencing factors of destination competitiveness. In order to improve their level of competitiveness, Qingdao and Dalian should strengthen tourism enterprises’ management in human resources, service quality and marketing; let DMO play its role in destination branding; pay more attention to the development and utilization of historical resources; maintain the currentfavorable natural and social environments.
Study on Safety of Mainland Residents’ Travelling to Taiwan and Risk Prevention Countermeasures

Mainland residents’ travelling to Taiwan is playing a more and more important role in the cross-strait communication. However, a series of tourism security issues seriously affected the healthy development of it. Taking the questionnaire method, this paper found some safety issues of mainland residents’ traveling to Taiwan,which include the supply and demand imbalance,the single form of products, frequent natural disasters in Taiwan,tourists’ deficient awareness of safety and so on. Based on the analysis above, some countermeasures are put forward. First, to improve the tourist reception capacity of Taiwan; Second, to improve the tourism products system; Third, the government should build the cooperation mechanism to protect the security of thetourists; Forth, to strengthen the tourism safety publicity and to improve the tourist safety awareness; Fifth, to strengthen the supervision of industry.
