Research on the Chinese Characteristics of Foreign Language Speech Materials in China from a Comparative Perspective — Taking Understanding Contemporary China: Spanish Speech Course as an Example

Abstract:

As material carriers of knowledge, textbooks play an important role in the construction of disciplines and in teaching activities. How to compile teaching materials that are suitable for Chinese foreign-language majors and how to balance the subject knowledge content and the ideological and political curriculum content in textbooks are important issues that textbook compilers need to explore. This paper summarizes the Chinese characteristics of a foreign-language speech course textbook in China from the macro and micro levels via a comparison of Chinese and foreign speech course materials. The research revealed that Chinese foreign-language speech materials should achieve the goal of conveying the core values of socialism with Chinese characteristics in addition to systematically imparting the subject knowledge. Accordingly, the speech topics, the main texts, the discourse system, and the multimodal elements in the teaching materials should reflect Chinese characteristics with the aim of ensuring the development of the students’ capacity to tell stories about China well in foreign languages on the international stage.

摘要:

教材作为知识传播的物质载体,在学科建设和教学活动中发挥了重要的作用。如何编制适合中国外语专业学生的教材,如何在教材中平衡学科知识内容和课程思政内容,是教材编撰者当前亟须探索的重要课题。本文通过对中外演讲教材的比较,从宏观架构和微观设计两个层面对我国外语演讲教材的中国特色进行了探索和归纳。研究表明,我国外语类演讲教材除了系统传授外语演讲学科知识之外,还要实现传递中国特色社会主义核心价值观的编写目标。为此,在教材中的演讲话题、主课文选篇、话语体系构建和多模态元素等方面都要体现中国特色,这是培养我国学生在国际舞台上用外语讲好中国故事的前提与保障。
