Abstract:

The State Translation Program plays a vital role in strengthening China’s international communications capabilities. Translation practices at the local level, deeply rooted in distinctive regional cultures, constitute a fundamental component of a country’s state translation practice. It is these diverse regional cultures that fashion the unified identity of the national culture. Regional cultural cognition not only directly affects the implementation and effectiveness of the Regional Translation Program, but also indirectly influences national cognitive behavior, which affects the State Translation Program. This paper clarifies the connections between the concepts of regional cultural cognition and those underlying the State Translation Program, analyzes the differences between the translator and their audience in terms of cultural recognition, and proposes countermeasures to regional cultural cognition in the State Translation Program. The goal of this research is to enhance the role of regional culture in the State Translation Program from a cognitive perspective, guiding the Regional Translation Program to assume more responsibilities within the State Translation Program and thereby improving China’s international communication capacities in all directions.

摘要：

国家翻译实践是加强我国国际传播能力建设的重中之重。基于地方文化的地方翻译实践是国家翻译实践的组成构件，富有地域特色的地方文化形塑了国家整体文化。地方文化认知既直接影响地方翻译实践的施策与成效，也间接影响国家翻译实践中的国家认知行为与效能。基于文化认知和国家翻译实践的理论框架，本文着重厘清了地方文化认知概念以及地方文化认知与国家翻译实践之间的联动关系，通过分别辨析译者和受众两个主体对地方文化的认知差异，探索国家翻译实践中的地方文化认知对策，旨在从认知视角强化地方文化在国家翻译实践中的作用，引导地方翻译实践更有效地参与国家翻译实践，从而全方位地提升我国国际传播能力。
